Dear Fans and Friends,

Bradley has asked that I pass along his thank you letter to all of you for your help in contributions to his Dad’s favourite charity, the DLRAA. Please feel free to share this letter with anyone else who you think may have contributed as the JustGiving.com page did not reveal individual email addresses. Today is Bradley’s birthday and I think this is probably the best birthday he has ever had! I have attached some photos of him from the marathon as well….

Cheers to you all!

To quote an experienced marathon runner, “My heart will thank me - my feet won't.”

Dear Friends and EH Fans, After participating in last week’s 26K Marathon in Los Angeles, I definitely would agree with the quotation above. Never in my life have I experienced both the joy and pain of something so rewarding. Many of you may ask why I decided to take on such a arduous challenge such as this, but to me it was something I not only wanted to prove to myself but to show my gratitude to the thousands of people whose lives are saved each day with the help of what I kindly refer to as “Air Angels” You may all recall a few years back when my sister Louise’s daughter, Olivia, was in a horrific car accident. Had it not been for the expedient and experienced help of the air ambulance in Texas, one can only imagine what tragedy may have befallen on our family. This marathon was my way of saying “thank you” and giving back to people who render the miracles that we so often take for granted. As for my father’s involvement with the DLRAA , for which he is extremely proud to be a Patron and ongoing supporter of their efforts, this was a chance for a son to acknowledge to the “Son of Leicester” the love and pride I feel for his relentless talent of touching the hearts of so many people. While my stamina and running endurance had begun to grow weaker upon reaching the 18th mile of this magnificent event, my pride remained steadfast….I can honestly say that I felt my grandparents spirit carrying me past the finish line. This definitely was the best birthday present I could ever have given myself! I can only say that my Dad has the greatest fans in the world. Through your support and loyalty through the years, you have once again proven that “All You Have To Do Is Ask.” Because of you, a grand £1150 was raised for the DLRAA…and amounts are still rolling in. To all who took the time to care….to all who took the time to share, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Cheers and God Bless You One and All! Bradley Dorsey

Dear Engelbert, Yesterday I missed sending you my best wishes for your birthday. Sorry. Every May 2nd. I remember, but this time, I failed. I've been a singer (and composer) too, and you have always been the Master to follow, ever since from the sixties. I'm sending a couple of recordings I made at a local studio. Hope you enjoy them, at least half as I enjoy all your songs. Sincerely

Dear Engelbert - I had to most amazing Mother's Day and you were a part of it. You see,my mother was a great fan of yours, my children who are all adults now grew up with their grandmother, my mother, listening to your music. I was able to bring her to see you a couple of times before she passed away. She has been with the Lord for several years now and I went to the cemetery to bring her flowers this Mother's Day and, as I was waiting for my children to come so they could place the flowers, your CD was playing in the car and I had the most incredible experience of sharing your music with my mother as your music reunited us once again. I had tears in my eyes as it was such an very moving experience. Thank you for all the joy you brought into her life and that you continue to bring into my life and the lives of all those who love you and your beautiful music. You most certainly have earned the title of "King of Romance". God bless you always Engelbert. Carole

Dear Enge, I've been listening to "A Taste of Country" for the past couple days. Love it!!!! It's like a rum and coke with a twist of lime ... smooth, rich, mellow with just a little kick, and of course, intoxicating. My favorites are "Help Me Make it Through the Night" and "I'm on Fire" but love all of them. Thanks so much for another superb CD. Love from your devoted fan in Tulsa, Linda I have been a great big fan of yours since I was 6 years old! (Am now in my late 40s - haha!)I love all your songs and have more that 30 of your CDs.I even have cassettes and refuse to throw them away. There's thisparticular song which I have in one of my old cassettes and amwondering why I cannot find it in any of your CDs. The title is"Maybe Tomorrow". It's such a beautiful song that I hope you will reproduce or re-record this. Please let me know if you do. Another one whichI would like to have on a CD would be "Till". You sang it at yourlast concert here! I love it so much (though I know it's TJ's song) andknow that you have it on DVD but not on CD. You sang it so well andI've been waiting so long for it to be on a CD. Please...please...please... I've always attended your concerts here in Singapore and during your last concert, I bought the tickets for my brother and his wife and after the concert, they could not stop talking about you! You're the best and my favourite! Thank you for your beautiful music! With all my best wishes for your ever successful career and looking forward to your next concert here again! God Bless You Always!! Your ever-faithful fan,

Dear Engelbert,I recently saw you perform at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, NJ and I have to say I never thought you could have looked or sounded better than the last time I saw you but YOU DID. Once again, your music and performance took me back to when I was a little girl and made my heart skip a beat. My mom and I make a trip together once a year to see you together. She lives in PA and I live in Fl so not only do we get a chance o see you but we are building memories together. Your humor makes each show extra special and we enjoyed every moment. We also got to see you in the hotel; we were so excited to know we stayed in the same place as you did. We wish you continued health and success. We each purchased your Taste of Country and Legacy of Love CD’s. Fabulous job. Each one is a pleasure to listen to, over and over!! We look forward to seeing you in October in Las Vegas. Thank you again for such a wonderful evening.

Dear Enge, I brought my 84 year old Dad and 89 year old mother to your concert at Foxwoods on July 11th as a 53rd wedding anniversary present. We all had a wonderful time. My mother was ready to get up there and dance with you ! It was a fabulous show with great mix of music and humor. We walked out with smiles on our faces, and we reminisced the whole hour and a half driving home. Thanks for coming, and we look forward to seeing you again. Sincerely,

Dear Enge, I just returned home from your performance at the Count Basie Theater in Red Bank, New Jersey. You were fabulous! Thank you so much for "My Wife the Dancer". It has been a long time. I am sure that your new granddaughter must love that one. We were truly an "Enge Audience" and you responded beautifully. You are the luckiest person alive to be blessed with the good health and the talent which enables you to be doing something which you so obviously love for over 40 years. We are so blessed to have you bringing us such great joy with every performance! I generally am lucky enough to see you at least three times a year - February in Florida (this past February in Palm Beach), July in New Jersey and November in Atlantic City. What amazes me even more is that each perfomance is fresh, while still providing us with all the songs we love and remember. May God bless us all that we are able to continue to enjoy you!
